We have been crowned Kent Charity of the Year 2019 at the Kent Charity Awards!
On Thursday night our staff and Trustees joined 300 representatives of Kent's charitable sector for a glittering gala dinner at Leas Cliff Hall Folkestone and we hope you can see from the photo just how much this award means to us and how EXCITED we are.
Speaking after the event, Oasis' chairman of trustees Derrick Downs said: "I'm flabbergasted. Obviously it was a tremendous surprise when there are so many charities represented here tonight, to come out as the overall winners was a great shock.
On behalf of Oasis, Loukia Michael said, “We are absolutely delighted to have been given this award which is a recognition of our staff team who work tirelessly supporting the vulnerable families who need our help. Winning the KCAs will help us to bring domestic abuse out from the shadows and we dedicate this honour to the brave women, men and children who have had the courage to change their lives. We hope the award will help us reach out to more families so that they know there is help out there and they are not alone. "
We would like to thank the sponsors, judges and everyone involved in the Kent Charity Awards and to congratulate all the finalists who represent the amazing work that takes place in Kent.
