Talks, Training and Workshops

Domestic Abuse is Everybody’s Business - we ALL have a shared responsibility to improve our knowledge and skills and to know what to do when you suspect someone is being abused, or when they confide in you.

Whether your work places you in regular and direct contact with victims of domestic abuse – as a police officer, social worker, or substance misuse professional – or whether you are responsible for staff at any level of any business, or work with young people / in the community, Oasis can help you and your organisation become domestic abuse aware.

Thank you for coming to our briefing and providing the presentation to us. I have received loads of positive feedback from my officers both yesterday and today. It really hit the mark and was clearly pitched at the right level. One officer even told me they took safety planning tips directly to a job that shift.

Our mentors regularly visit schools to give talks. Here is some of the feedback we have had:

Thank you for supporting our Year 10 PSE Day. The students gave lots of positive comments: ‘she gave a lot of encouragement for people with low self-esteem’, ‘relationships shouldn’t hurt’, ‘scenarios were shown alongside some things you could do to fix these situations’, ‘what makes a healthy relationship and what is an abusive relationship’, ‘the subtlety of abuse’
