As professionals, we often get asked ‘why doesn’t she just leave?'

To explore the answer we’ll hear about people's experiences and look at the questions and misconceptions that people have about domestic abuse. You’ll gain an insight into nature of abuse, the dangers involved and the system we have in place to tackle it.

The event launches POW! Thanet's International Women's Day festival at the Turner Contemporary at 4.30pm on the 8th of March.

Tickets are free but a donation would be really appreciated, every penny goes towards supporting people who are experiencing abuse.
