Dragon Boat at Moat Park

  • Moat Park Maidstone (map)

Teams of 11 will compete with one of the crew beating a drum to dictate the pace of the paddles. They will compete in a minimum of three races but the fastest teams will compete in the finals at the end of the day.

This is an ALL DAY event so be prepared to be on site all day (approx 6 hours) - each of your races will be around 70 minutes apart, giving you the chance to recover, chat with friends and visit the various stalls. Check in times are staggered between 9am and 11am and your time will be sent to you prior to the event.

The event raises funds for the KM Group's local charities of the year and allows school PTA groups, sports clubs, charities and businesses to raise funds and support Oasis.

Your squad of rowers can have a Maximum of 17 people, which means everyone can race twice if you fill all your spaces.

It is a challenge for those who wish to savour the ancient traditions of the dragon boat, as much as for those who want to test their strength and rowing technique by travelling across the 250m course in the fastest time. It is also a day for spectators as well as for people taking part.
